The team had great fun, we got back to the start second but had our water 'punched out' by another team so came 3rd or 4th overall - not quite sure which. You can see the remains of our official £1 shop bucket in the final photo. We managed a good overtaking maneuver between the copse and the Swildon's stream. Karen did very well to stay seated all the way round.

It would be good next year to get some fresh, fit young charioteers - our team had been digging in Stainsby's prior to the race and had an average age a bit over 40! The young female (except one) BEC team did though come last (their one male wore a bikini top to blend in).

Over beer afterwards, we theorised about how to do better (second place) next year and came up with several cunning plans. Some art work for the chariot would be good too.

Again thanks to Biff for fabrication.

Bill.
